The 2263 E Hastings Street sweet spot has been operating for almost three years, providing customers with fresh bread, decadent pastries, and caffeinated beverages to name a few.

Owners of the cafe announced the last day of operation will be July 28.

The Aer team said that while this doesn’t necessarily mean the end of the concept forever, the social pages will be inactive for now.

Here is the full statement regarding the closure:

Our last day of business will be Sunday, July 28th.

Sincerely, from the staff at Aer Café, we thank everyone who came in to visit our small little coffee shop, whether it was daily or whenever you happened to be in the neighbourhood. We never thought we would have received the amount of overwhelming support— from the dozens and dozens of Instagram posts to all the great positive comments we get. It‘s been almost three years since we first opened our doors to the community and in return, we were blessed to have been part of someone’s daily routine, or occasional pick-me-up when in need of some sweets— or a delicious tuna melt. It was beyond our wildest imagination that we would be so warmly welcome in the community. We especially take a moment to thank Andrew and Doug, the wonderful owners of @mojacoffee, who were supportive along every step of the way and for having us carry their coffee.

This is not the end of a chapter for us necessarily. This page will still be open— albeit inactive— in the event of us pursing other business ventures in the future.

We thank everyone once again, especially those in the Hasting-Sunrise community for having had us. We look forward to seeing some familiar faces over the course of the next week before we close down.

Sincerely, PL and the Aer Café team.
