Comedy icon Adam Sandler stops for a steak at Squamish eatery

Hollywood and comedy icon Adam Sandler was in B.C. again, and he stopped by a chop house in Squamish for a steak.
Pepe’s Chophouse, formerly Pepe & Gringo, located at 40359 Tantalus Rd., shared some pics of Sandler’s visit on its Instagram page.

Pepe’s has a varied menu, with items ranging from soups and salads to pasta dishes to butter chicken, and of course, steak.
“Adam Sandler dropped by for a steak last night. A real pleasure to have him in – a great night all around,” Pepe’s wrote in one of two posts about Sandler.
“What a cool moment meeting Adam Sandler last night having dinner at the best restaurant in town – Pepe’s Chophouse! Should we convince him to move to Squamish? 👀,” the other post’s caption joked.
Plunge Wellness Studio responded in the comments, saying, “Omg let’s get him in the cold plunge and sauna!! 🔥🔥”
Someone else CLAIMED that they’d had drinks with Sandler in Vancouver.
“Awesome! I’ve met him before. We did tequila shots together at a bar in Vancouver.”
Doing tequila shots with Big Daddy sounds like a wild time.
Sandler has been in the province for a bit over the last year, as he was filming Happy Gilmore 2 around B.C.
Based on reports from entertainment publications, it sounds like he’s in B.C. again for more filming, but something much darker than his popular comedy golf film. He’s filming a movie called Time Out, which is a remake of a French thriller, and stars alongside Willem Dafoe.
“Follows Vincent, who after being fired from his job can’t bring himself to tell his wife and family. He spins a web of lies and creates an investment scheme, and the deception threatens to overwhelm his life,” the IMDB synopsis says. Sandler plays Vincent.
Sandler is also no stranger to less comedic roles in recent years, having received critical acclaim (but no Academy Award nominations) for his role in the 2019 Safdie brothers’ thriller Uncut Gems.
We wonder if Sandler asked for some fresh pepper on his steak.
Have you had a steak at Pepe’s?
