Adam Gaudette “isn’t in great shape” but it sounds like he’s in good hands.

Micaela Gaudette provided the first update on her husband’s condition, since the Canucks centre tested positive for COVID-19.

“I’ve been feeling fine other than being tired and I just woke up with a bad headache,” Micaela said in a Thursday morning tweet. “My hubby isn’t in great shape but I’m taking good care of him! Thank you to all that have said kind things to us during this time.”

Gaudette left the ice at Rogers Arena midway through Canucks practice on Tuesday, after it was discovered that he tested positive for COVID-19. The Canucks practiced again on Wednesday morning, as the 24-year-old was the only Canucks player on the NHL’s COVID protocol list.

The Canucks and Calgary Flames were preparing to play yesterday until the game was postponed an hour and a half before puck drop. The NHL revealed that an additional Canucks player and a coach had entered into COVID protocol.

The Flames are leaving Vancouver for Edmonton today, according to a report from TSN’s Salim Valji. The NHL said it will provide further updates sometime today.
