
A portion of Highway 1 remains closed this morning following a serious motor vehicle accident.
According to Surrey RCMP, they are currently on the scene at Highway 1 and 176 Street in the North Cloverdale area.
The RCMP reports that on November 6, at approximately 3:12 am, officers responded to a single vehicle accident in the 17500 block of Highway 1.
A truck had struck the median and had caught fire. Officers are now on the scene investigating, and traffic in the area will be affected “for an undetermined time.”
All westbound traffic will have to exit prior to 176 Street.
The public is requested to avoid the area until further notice and to exit off at 200 Street as much as possible.
Drive BC is warning drivers to expect heavy delays this morning.
