The Abbotsford Canucks are set to begin their first-ever Calder Cup Final this Friday versus the Charlotte Checkers.

Vancouver’s AHL affiliate has had an incredible playoff run to date, with their most recent triumph being a Game 6 win over the Texas Stars in the Western Conference Final for a chance to compete for the Calder Cup.

This series will kick off on Friday at 4 p.m. PT, though the first two outings of the series will be on the road.

Canucks fans wanting to tune into this series from the get go are in luck, however, as all games will be available via streaming. Even better, Game 1 is free to watch.

The AHL sent out a message this afternoon letting all hockey fans know that the opening game of this series will be free to watch via FloHockey. The stream will be available through FloHockey’s official Facebook and X pages. It can also be watched by clicking the link below.

Unfortunately, the remainder of the series will cost fans a fair bit of money to stream.

FloHockey has exclusive broadcast rights and offers streaming for $39.99 per month, or an annual fee of $203.88. The annual subscription gives fans access to all AHL, ECHL, and college hockey.

While it remains to be seen whether or not Canucks fans are willing to pay those prices to watch their team on the road, they are lining up for the home games of this series. Tickets have been selling quickly, with the cheapest available for Game 3 currently being listed for $131 on Ticketmaster.

Game 3 is set to be played on Friday, June 17, while Game 4 will be played on Sunday, June 19. Both are scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m. PT.
