59 new homes proposed near Canada Line's King Edward Station
The Cambie Corridor Plan continues to be a major catalyst for development along much of Cambie Street.
For the area around the Canada Line’s King Edward Station, a number of mid-rise, low-rise, and townhouse developments are planned or under construction.

The latest proposal for the area is for a site at 620-644 West King Edward Avenue — the southwest corner of the intersection of Ash Street and West King Edward Avenue, just one block west of the Canada Line station.
A development application recently submitted by WT Leung Architects Inc. calls for 59 strata units within two four-storey residential buildings and one three-storey townhouse building. The unit mix is 36 one-bedroom units, 14 two-bedroom units, three three-bedroom units, and six townhouse units.
The project’s total floor area is 54,742 sq. ft., giving it a floor space ratio of 1.74 times the size of its 30,000-sq-ft land assembly lot. Two underground levels will accommodate 77 vehicle parking stalls.
Since the Canada Line was completed in 2009, redevelopment projects have been sprouting east, south, and west of King Edward Station, particularly over the last few years.
If approved, this particular project would replace four single-family residential structures, including two homes built in 1941, one home built in 2005, and one home built in 2010.
