Vancouver Coastal Health has named five more schools in Vancouver, West Vancouver, Richmond, and Squamish for potential coronavirus exposure this week.

Potential exposure means that someone infected with coronavirus was on school property. Contact tracers will still reach out to the patients’ close contacts directly to inform them they need to self-isolate.

In Vancouver, coronavirus exposure was identified at Vancouver Technical Secondary and Elsie Roy Elementary. Vancouver Technical only had one potential exposure date: September 21. Elsie Roy had potential exposure from September 22 to 24.

In West Vancouver, VCH says someone with coronavirus was at Rockridge Secondary on September 23 and 24.

BC Muslim School in Richmond also had potential coronavirus exposure from September 11 to 18.

Howe Sound Secondary in Squamish had someone contagious on school property from September 21 to September 25.

The health authority did not say whether the cases were identified in students or staff members, and also had not said how many people need to self-isolate because they were close contacts of these school cases.
