Vancouver Coastal Health has declared a new coronavirus outbreak at Haro Park Centre in Vancouver’s West End, the second time the senior’s care home has dealt with an outbreak during the pandemic.

The second outbreak was declared Tuesday, with Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry mentioning it in her written case update.

This outbreak involved Haro Park’s second floor, according to the outbreak information posted to Vancouver Coastal Health’s website. It says infection-control restrictions at the care home were imposed on Tuesday.

The first outbreak at Haro Park killed 11 of the elderly residents and infected dozens more early in the pandemic. It was declared over in June.
