Popular noodle chain offering pay-what-you-can meals July 7
Yunshang Rice Noodle is offering pay-what-you-can dishes on July 7 to raise funds for a new SickKids hospital.
For one day only, all of the chain’s locations in the GTA will be offering an exclusive “Support-SickKids Menu,” and guests will be encouraged to order from it, paying only what they are able.

“Seeing my child in pain was so difficult. It was SickKids that found the problem and was able to solve it,” said the chain’s owner, James Wang, in a release.
When Wang’s son Derek was one year old, he was a patient at the hospital after a severe reaction to bug bites that made his arm to swell and turn purple, and caused trouble breathing.
Now, Wang is a devoted monthly donor to SickKids.
“The doctors, the nurses, the staff, and the social workers, everyone around us were so calm, caring and professional throughout our entire experience. They were there every day, beside us, reassuring us, and that made a huge difference,” he said.

Yunshang Noodle turns three-years-old in July, so this one-day event serves as an opportunity to give back while celebrating.
And in addition to helping provide children with access to high-quality healthcare, the campaign aims to provide a nutritious meal for those who can’t afford one.
Even if it’s just for one day.
