2 men stabbed after altercation in front of a Tim Hortons in Markham

York Regional Police are looking for witnesses after two people were stabbed in front of a Tim Hortons in Markham over the weekend.

According to investigators, on Sunday, November 17,  at 8:30 pm, York Regional Police responded to a weapons call in front of a restaurant located at 7330 Markham Road, a Tim Hortons.

When officers arrived, they found a 21-year-old man who was suffering from stab wounds.

The man was transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries and is expected to survive.

Police say while they were investigating, they located three men who were believed to be involved, one of whom was also suffering from stab wounds. The man was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Investigators said that they found that four men got into an altercation with a fifth man, and during the altercation, the two men were stabbed.

The fifth man involved fled the scene prior to police arrival.

York Regional Police described the suspect as a Black male, between 18- to 24-years-old, and wearing a black winter jacket and black toque.
