A Toronto woman has been arrested with attempted murder after she stabbed a baby, Toronto Police say.
According to police, on Wednesday, April 3 around 4:20 pm, officers responded to a call for a medical complaint in the Bathurst Street and Canyon Avenue area.
Police say that paramedics located a woman and infant suffering from stab wounds, which appeared to be “suspicious.”
Both the woman and the baby were transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

Following the incident, a 36-year-old woman from Toronto has been charged with attempted murder.
She appeared before a magistrate on Thursday, April 4 and was remanded in custody.
The baby remains in hospital in critical but stable condition.
