Toronto's first ever vegan brewery and restaurant is opening soon

There’s something new brewing in Toronto’s Parkdale, AKA Vegandale, neighbourhood.

Billed as “Toronto’s first ever vegan brewery and restaurant,” Vegandale Brewery promises “an unapologetic stance on veganism, alongside quality craft brews and great eats!”

The brewery’s motto is “Morality On Tap”.

Situated at Queen Street West and Brock, the new brewpub from 5700 Inc. (founders of the Vegandale Food Drink Festivals and restaurants including Doomie’s TorontoThe Imperative and Mythology) is partnering Michael Duggan (co-founder of Mill Street Brewery) to produce small-batch brews in-house including the Principled Pilsner, See the Light Lager, The Sour Truth, and Morally Superior IPA.

Accompanying the new beers, patrons can enjoy a 100% vegan menu of beer-friendly eats such as saucy and cheesy comfort food selections.

“We’re ready to show Toronto that our strong brews match our strong convictions,” says Hellenic Vincent De Paul, Owner of The 5700 Inc. “And with four additional vegan storefronts launching this summer under the Vegandale brand, we have lots of reasons to toast to the end of animal exploitation.”

While the brewpub boasts seating for 100, Vegandale Brewery will also offer a retail store selling beer and merch for take-home. Expect an opening date to be announced imminently on social media.
