Hangry commuters are about to have many more options to fuel their travels.

Union Station’s Food Court is finally open today.

The Food Court is the first area to open in the newly-constructed lower retail level. It offers 10 food vendors and a seating capacity of more than 600 people in a 25,000-sq-ft space.

One exciting vendor opening its first food court location in the new space is comfort-food fave Loaded Pierogi. If getting your carb-fix makes your commute (even an iota) less painful, this is the spot to hit.

You’ll also be able to grab on-the-go eats from these favourites: Paramount Fine Foods, Bangkok Buri, Sushi Shop, Shanghai 360, Roywoods, Scaccia, Pizza Pizza, Tim Hortons and Mcdonald’s.

The interior was designed by the same architects who are behind Bar Raval, which means the space feels like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of the daily commute.

A main feature of the new space is the fresh, futuristic lighting. The colours of the bulbs will change on holidays and other special occasions, ensuring an ever-evolving vibe.

This new addition to Union Station is sure to add some ease to travelling to and from Toronto. Perhaps you’ll even get excited for your commute!
