A portion of the TTC is going to close early some nights this week

If you’re going to be travelling through the downtown core on Monday through Thursday night this week, you’ll want to plan ahead.

The portion of Line 1 between Eglinton and Bloor stations will close nightly at 11 pm for track maintenance.

According to the TTC, shuttle buses will be running and stopping at each station along the route.

Summerhill Station will be closed, but all others will stay open for fare sales and for access to surface routes.

Shuttle loading and offloading locations will vary from station to station, however, TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers and answer questions.

From Tuesday to Thursday this week, there will also be a restricted speed zone in place to support the work being done between Rosedale and Bloor stations.

Operating speeds will be reduced through that section to allow workers to perform planned track rehabilitation work.

Since trains will travel through that area at a slower-than-usual speed, customers may experience longer travel times both directions during rush hour.
