Police investigating TTC incident of man dumping mop bucket on woman (VIDEO)
Toronto’s 42 Division is currently investigating an incident that took place at Lawrence East Station on Tuesday night.
The incident, which took place on the subway platform, was recorded and shared on social media. Video footage shows a man picking up and dumping a mop bucket on a woman, then running down the stairs.
A TTC staff member is seen in the video, but was a bystander and was uninjured, according to the TTC.
“We are were shocked by this video and disappointed this incident occurred on TTC property,” said TTC spokesperson Stuart Green.
The TTC is now working with investigators and have provided any CCTV recordings they have that might assist police.
Police say no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
The video is on several social media platforms, where it’s been viewed over 90,000 times in total.
