Police looking for suspect after jogger stabbed in Toronto last night

Toronto police is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in a stabbing investigation.

Police say on Monday, September 4, at 11 pm, a 25-year-old man was jogging westbound on Dupont Street near Manning Avenue when he was stabbed in the back. The suspect then fled southbound on Manning, and was last seen in the Manning Avenue and London Street area.

According to police, the suspect is described as white, approximately 55-60, stocky build, buzz haircut with hair approximately 1-2 inches long. He was wearing a white or pale colour dress shirt, tucked into dark pants, and he was seen holding a large hunting knife as he fled.

Anyone who may have information, or video footage from private security cameras and/or dash-mounted cameras that may have captured the incident is asked to contact police.

But the suspect is to be considered armed and dangerous, and if seen in public, police say do not approach him and call 9-1-1 immediately.
