TTC’s Head of Diversity and Human Rights, Valerie Albanese, Diversity and Outreach Specialist, Marika Fraser and Diversity Consultant, Thamina Jaferi, accepted the award from the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.
“As an integral part of Toronto’s fabric and with front line employees who work directly with the public every day, it’s important that we reflect the communities we serve,” Piemontese said.
The Canada’s Best Diversity Employers competition recognizes leaders that create inclusive workplaces for employees, by cultivating diversity of thought and creating an environment in which individuals have an equal opportunity to contribute, advance and voice their opinions and perspectives.
