Last Friday, we told you that every day this week was expected to be above 0°C in Toronto.
What we didn’t know then was just how far above 0°C some of the days would be – including yesterday, February 22, and today, February 23.
While yesterday ultimately fell short of reaching an all-time high, today has another shot at putting itself in the record books.
According to Environment Canada, it’s already 14°C in Toronto.
Since 1938, Environment Canada has been keeping track of temperature records in Toronto and the warmest February 23 in the city was back in 1984 when the high reached a spring-like 14.9°C.
Today’s forecast is calling for Toronto to reach a high of 16°C. And considering it’s just 9:30 am at the time of writing, it looks like this could be the warmest February 23 in a millennial’s lifetime.
