5 subway stations on Line 1 will be closed all weekend

With another weekend in the city fast approaching, it can only mean one thing: it’s time to start planning for the inevitable subway station closures.

And this weekend, the TTC is closing the portion of Line 1 between York Mills and St Clair stations for track work.

As a result, the partial closures will end up affecting five different stations over the course of the weekend.

Replacement shuttle buses will run along Yonge Street, stopping at each station along the route.

TTC staff will also be on hand to direct customers to shuttle loading and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station.

In addition to shuttles, the 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 will be available as alternatives during the closure.

All stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes and Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station throughout the weekend.

Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency.
