The City of Toronto is auctioning off more than 1,500 old street signs
You can now own a piece of Toronto history.
Original Toronto street signs are being made available for auction. Over 1500 decommissioned City of Toronto signs will be available on auction website Platinum Liquidations.
So if you ever really wanted the Spadina street sign, this is your chance to own it.
Except, some are quite popular, and as the auctions run for about 60 days the prices can get quite high.
And while Spadina is popular, Queen Streets West and East has it beat. Auctions for both Queen Streets are over $500 at this time.
You’ll need to register to bid, and there will be additional signs added each week. The auction website also expects these signs to roll in for over the next 12 months.
Happy bidding, Toronto!
