67 drivers have had their vehicles impounded after being charged with street racing in the past seven days.
The drivers were all stopped throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) by officers with provincial police, according to OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt.
- Two drivers caught speeding 'ridiculously fast' at over 225 km/h in the GTA
- Ontario Provincial Police laid 213,000 speeding charges last year
- This is how much fines are under Ontario's new distracted driving laws
Schmidt said the drivers will also receive a seven-day license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impound.
“What what is the hurry? Slow down,” he said.

Schmidt also said that 31 of these drivers were charged with street racing over the weekend.
One of these drivers also registered over two-times the legal limit of alcohol, said Schmidt.
