Good news for those who love a mean Caribbean jerk, but don’t love to travel beyond the downtown core: Allwyn’s is opening up shop at Queen and Spadina.

The Toronto-spot is known for their fierce jerk chicken, oxtail, plantain and fresh coco buns. They have locations scattered along the far ends of the city, but this will be their first downtown space.

And fans of the eatery are already expressing their excitement online.

Congrats! Always worth the trip to the Underhill location, but great to see you’re expanding,” reads one comment.

“The plan for global domination is on track!!” reads another.

An official opening date is yet to be announced, but don’t fret, we’ll be watching.

Queen and Spadina is about to get a burst of phenomenal flavour.
