Regent Park hosting free movies under the stars this summer

May 30 2018, 11:06 pm

This summer, Toronto’s Regent Park will be hosting a six-week outdoor movie screening series.

The movie screenings will take place every Wednesday, kicking off on July 11 and running until August 15.

Before sundown, moviegoers can enjoy music and outdoor activities including yoga, rugby drills, dance classes, and more.

Activities will vary each week and take place between 7 to 8:30 pm before the film begins at sundown (which is usually around 9 pm).

Here’s this summer’s movie lineup:

July 11: Cinderella

July 18: Kaguyahime no Monogatari (The Tale of Princess Kaguya)

July 25: Birth of a Family

August 1: Coco

August 8: Bollywood Hollywood

August 15: Sister Act

Popcorn and refreshments will be available for purchase and proceeds will go towards keeping the annual Regent Film Festival in November completely free.

In the event of rain, the scheduled screening date will be cancelled and the movie will be shown on Wednesday, August 22.

So, grab a blanket, rally up your friends, and enjoy an evening under the stars!
