The Toronto police are trying to identify a man wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in a Little Italy park over the weekend.

On Friday, October 4 around 1:15 am, a 49-year-old woman was “befriended” by a man in a bar near Bloor Street West and Ossington Avenue.

After the bar, the pair proceeded to nearby Bickford Park, where the man sexually assaulted her, police say.

The suspect is described as black, 5’8″, 140 to 160 lbs., between 25 and 35-years-old, with a medium build, a mohawk, and a goatee.

Police say he was wearing a red and white tracksuit at the time and was also described as speaking with an African accent.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-7474, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or online.

Police are reminding the public a sexual assault is any form of unwanted sexual contact. It includes, but is not limited to, kissing, grabbing, oral sex, and penetration.
