
Toronto Police have arrested two men following a stolen vehicle investigation.
According to police, on Wednesday, February 14, officers located a stolen vehicle in the Dufferin Street and Highway 401 area. Police found a man inside the car, with a three-year-old child.
Police located another man involved with the incident a short distance away.
It’s alleged that during a search of the stolen vehicle and the two men, officers located and seized a loaded .45 calibre semi-automatic pistol, 5.9 grams of cocaine and approximately $8,000.
Mohammad Hassani, 21, and 25-year-old Dean Howlette of Toronto, now face a total of 24 charges.
Hassani’s charges include possessing restricted/prohibited firearm without holding licence, occupying motor vehicle with firearm, and possessing Schedule I Substance for trafficking.
Hassani was also was charged in relation to an outstanding warrant in regards to a shooting investigation.
As for Howlette, he was also charged with possessing restricted/prohibited firearm without holding licence, occupying motor vehicle with firearm, and possessing Schedule I Substance for trafficking.
Police did not release any further information on the child located in the vehicle.
