Man's face slashed during alleged armed robbery in church parking lot

Toronto police are requesting the public’s assistance identifying a group of males wanted in for an alleged robbery that occurred in a church parking lot this month.

It is reported that on Sunday, December 8 at approximately 11:30 am, a man was followed into a church parking lot by three males in the Lawrence Avenue and Elinor Avenue area.

The males were reportedly driving a silver Chevrolet Malibu. Police say the first suspect sprayed the victim with a fire extinguisher, and the second suspect exited the car and slashed the man in the face and hand with a silver, medium-length serrated kitchen knife.

The third suspect reportedly exited the car and removed money from the victim’s wallet.

According to law enforcement, the suspects possibly fled north on Elinor Avenue in the same vehicle.

Suspect 1, the driver of the vehicle, is described as a black man in his late 20s to early 30s, wearing a black jacket with a hood, and light blue jeans.

Suspect 2, the front passenger, is described as black man with a larger build, in his late 20s to early 30s, wearing a black jacket and jeans.

Suspect 3, who was in the rear seat of the vehicle, is described as a white or tanned male with brown hair.
