Three separate McDonald’s locations have confirmed staff members testing positive for COVID-19 as of Tuesday, as more cases continue to be reported.

McDonald’s Canada has shared its COVID-19 advisory page with updates until January 12.

At the 1900 Eglinton Avenue East location in Toronto, an employee reported testing positive for COVID-19 and had last worked on January 8.

In North York, an employee at 6170 Bathurst Street reported testing positive for the virus. They had last worked on January 8.

An employee at 150 Rimrock Road also tested positive for COVID-19 and had last worked in-store on January 10.

Anyone who visited an affected McDonald’s is asked to take directions from Ontario Public Health.

McDonald’s Canada says their restaurants have implemented enhanced safety measures, including having hand sanitizer dispensers available, keeping high-touch surfaces and tables sanitized, and making masks mandatory for all staff.

“Maintaining the health and well-being of our crew and guests is our top priority, and we will continue to monitor and adapt measures, where necessary,” said McDonald’s Canada.

“We continue to work with local health authorities to support our people and our guests, and look forward to getting back to serving our community.”
