A Scarborough McDonald’s has confirmed a staff member testing positive for COVID-19 on Monday, as more cases continue to be reported.

McDonald’s Canada has shared its COVID-19 advisory page with updates up until January 11.

An employee at the 2870 Eglinton Avenue East location in Scarborough has reported an employee testing positive for the virus and had last worked on January 8.

Over the past weekend, several McDonald’s locations across the GTA reported more cases in its restaurants.

Anyone who visited an affected McDonald’s is asked to take directions from Ontario Public Health.

McDonald’s Canada says their restaurants have implemented a number of enhanced safety measures, including having hand sanitizer dispensers available, keeping high-touch surfaces and tables sanitized, and making masks mandatory for all staff.

“Maintaining the health and well-being of our crew and guests is our top priority, and we will continue to monitor and adapt measures, where necessary,” said McDonald’s Canada.

“We continue to work with local health authorities to support our people and our guests, and look forward to getting back to serving our community.”
