Toronto house sells in two days for more than $551K over asking
Buying a house in Toronto these days pretty much guarantees that you’re going to be paying over the asking price, but how about more than half a million dollars over?
The buyers of a home in the Scarborough neighbourhood of West Hill just paid that and then some. The house, located at 124 Manse Road, hit the market on July 2 with an asking price of $1,299,999. It sold just two days later for $1,851,777 — $551,778 over asking.
The four-bedroom, five-bathroom house spans roughly 3,000 to 3,500 sq ft, according to the listing. And for that price, the buyers are getting a modern, open-concept home with a huge kitchen and plenty of living space.
Interestingly, this house was listed as having not one, but two, primary bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms.
And down in the basement is a self-contained in-law suite with its own kitchen and even its own entrance.

And as nice as the inside of this house is, the backyard just might be the most attractive feature. With that lush green lawn and a large deck, the new buyer definitely won’t ever feel a shortage of outdoor space.
Even if it did come at a high price, this house seems like a great Toronto find.
