Last year, Toronto was ranked one of world’s most popular filming destinations. It’s no wonder Netflix Canada shot one of its latest shows right here in the city.

Locke and Key was released on February 7, and besides having a Canadian crew, the new drama series also showcases different locations around Toronto.

According to Netflix, the show is about a family discovering mysterious worlds, and is set in Massachusetts.

To achieve the rural Massachusetts look, the crew filmed part of the show in Nova Scotia. But Toronto took over a large part of the production.

So where can you spot Toronto in Locke and Key?

The show was filmed between February to July 2019, and also shot in Hamilton, Ontario.

And just last week, downtown Toronto turned into a 1940s film set for Bradley Cooper’s latest movie.

In 2018, domestic and foreign film, television, digital and commercials production investments in Toronto achieved its second highest level ever at $1.96 billion, according to the City of Toronto.
