Toronto will receive a transfer fee in the neighbourhood of $2-3 million from Al-Hilal, according to Jack.
One of the biggest stars in MLS since he arrived to Toronto in 2015, Giovinco helped elevate TFC into a championship-winning club in 2017. The Italian striker has 68 career goals in 114 regular season games in MLS, all with Toronto.
Rumours of a potential transfer had made the rounds recently, as Giovinco was in the final year of a five-year contract. The 32-year-old was the highest-paid player in MLS in 2018, making over $7 million.
