It looks like Toronto is going to have a much-needed dose of spring weather sooner than expected as above zero temperatures are forecast for the next two weeks.

That’s right, say farewell to your heavy parkas and mittens (at least for now), heated patio season is here.

According to The Weather Network’s two-week weather forecast, Torontonians can look forward to above seasonal temperatures over the next few weeks.

Starting this Sunday, we can expect a high of 11°C and an abundant of sunshine and high temperatures heading into the beginning of the week.

While the end of February will feel more like late March, we can expect the temperature to sit at a comfortable 4°C to 5°C as we ease into the new month.

Maybe this means we’ll see Toronto break a few more temperature records.

Afternoons are forecasted to be mild with the coldest days showing a high of 1°C, but we can expect evenings to remain brisk as temperatures are forecasted to sit around -3°C and 1°C over the next two weeks.

And while we know that above zero in Toronto can still be rather chilly this time of year, it’s still something to look forward to especially once the Olympics are over.
