The Thompson Diner is closing permanently on December 31

It’s high time to get your Truffle Mac and Cheese fix… because soon, one of the city’s best spots for the dish won’t be around any longer.

The Thompson Diner will close permanently on December 31 at 9 pm, as the Thompson Hotel gears up for a major makeover.

The Entertainment District hotspot, that’s hosted countless celebs during TIFF and the MMVAS, and has thrown star-studded rooftop parties, will soon be replaced by a newly redesigned, sustainable living retreat, known as 1 Hotel Toronto.

You’ll be able to satisfy their comfort food cravings a little bit longer, as the eatery will remain open for the following hours over the holiday season:

From Sunday to Thursday: 7 am to 9 pm
Friday and Saturday: 7 am to 3 am
Christmas Eve: 7 am to 2 pm
