The Bentway is launching a brand new beer garden this summer
The Bentway Beer Garden is launching a weekly summer social every Sunday starting July 8 until August 12.
Shaded by the Gardiner Expressway, this escape from the sun is billing itself as the “city’s coolest covered patio” and introducing weekly programming along with games, food, and beverages!
Look forward to brews from Collective Arts Brewing and cider from Strongbow, plus treats from SPiN. Outdoor games like ping pong and bocce, and a curated music program are also available each week:
July 8 – To kick-off the season, The Bentway teams up with Tune Your Ride to present a bicycle-powered concert featuring pop-rock quartet For Jane, singer/songwriter Charlotte Cornfield, and hip-hop/electronic artist Just John.
July 15 – MuseMovement’s silent yoga (BYO-mat) and meditation sessions and a silent disco party with music by DJs Lucie Tic and Cozmic Cat, DJ Caff, and DJ Craig Dominic.
July 22 – A summer music playlist featuring tunes by girl-power pop collective For Esmé, and experimental rock/jazz band Luge.
July 29 – An open-air performance of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture by the Canadian National Brass Project plus programming presented by the Toronto Summer Music Festival including an artillery demonstration and a musical petting zoo.
August 5 – A summery fête inspired by Caribana and in celebration of Trinidad and Tobago, look forward to live music from calypso band Moses Revolution, Joel ‘Connector’ Davis, and New Dimension Steel Orchestra.
August 12 – The weekly series wraps up with a specially curated concert, presented by the Aga Khan Museum, featuring Manila-based musician and producer KyVITa, and Canadian AfroSoul trio Amai Kuda et les Bois.
