North America's largest halal food festival is happening in Toronto this month

Halal Food Fest Toronto is back for two full days of eating in July!

Now in its sixth year and expecting over 35,000 visitors, the food festival is billed as “North America’s largest halal food festival,” and returns to The International Centre in Mississauga for the weekend of  July 14 and 15.

More than 200 halal restaurants, bakeries, manufacturers, specialty stores and artisan vendors will participate, offering a range of flavours and product from around the world.

Attendees can look forward to unique menu items such as Fusion Bihari Kebab Pizza from Fusion Bites, Afghan Dumplings from Halal Fine Foods, Hand Pulled Noodles from Orient Express, Butter Chicken Poutine from BBQ Bros., and so much more.

“The Muslim population in Canada is the fastest-growing religious group and the needs of this market continue to grow,” says Faizal Kagdi and Salima Jivraj, Co-Founders of Halal Food Festival Toronto. “Foodies – Muslim or not – are always excited to attend each year to see what new things they can try during the two-day festival.”

Aside from eating, look forward to a shopping bazaar, “an insightful session from HMA Canada (Halal Monitoring Authority) on the value and importance of halal certification,” Cake Walk, an annual cake decorating competition, children’s cooking classes, and a 14,000 square foot Kids Zone included with admission.
