At Bar 244, their slogan is “$3 drinks always,” and they live up to that. This is the spot for bumping music with a bunch of different rooms to let loose.

Bistro 422
Not to be confused with Bar 244, this dive bar on College Street is a fave with students on a budget for its menu featuring mixed drinks by the pitcher for just $13.28. Meanwhile, a pitcher of beer is priced between $12 and $14.

Wide Open Bar
Wide Open keeps it fresh with a different deal every night. On Fridays and Saturdays in particular, there are $5 drinks, $8 doubles, $13 pitchers… and the list of deals goes on and on.

The Red Room
A classic Chinatown favourite. The Red Room has cheap drinks, all day, every day. Bar rails are only $4.50. If you’re here for the beer, domestic beers are $3.50 while imports are $4.25. You can also visit for sangria specials and budget-friendly eats too.

W Burger Bar
Finding a place to eat and finding a place to pre-drink doesn’t have to be complicated. You can do both at W Burger Bar. They have delicious burgers with meat ranging from kangaroo to wild boar. W Burger Bar also has $2 beers (seriously), $5 bar rails, $2 shots, and more. This spot is particularly great for students in the Ryerson area.Â

Ein-stein Bierhalle
A favourite with many of the students at the University of Toronto, Ein-stein is a pub just steps from campus that’s known for cheap pints and pitchers. It has a cozy, grotto atmosphere and with occasional live music, the place is always packed with students.

Labyrinth Lounge
