Steam Whistle is about to bring you your favourite new summer hang out.

The brewery will be opening a beer garden in their iconic downtown Roundhouse this spring.

This means that alongside the promise of the eventual return of warm weather, you can look forward to sipping Steam Whistle and munching on pretzels and schnitzel in a traditional biergarten atmosphere with pals.

The Steam Whistle Biergärten is inspired by the atmosphere, food and drink of the traditional bier gartens and bier halls in Munich.

“To enjoy a real German bier hall is incredible. We wanted to share that experience, modernized and placed right in downtown Toronto, at the Roundhouse,” says Tim McLaughlin, Vice-President of Marketing for Steam Whistle.

Like a traditional bier hall, the Steam Whistle Biergärten will feature beer that adheres to the strict standards of the Bavarian Purity Act of 1516, with traditional German fare like pretzel, schnitzel and roast chicken.

The menu will also feature vegetarian and vegan fare.

“The Bier Garten will have an atmosphere and vibe that promotes openness and sharing. An experience that every visitor to Steam Whistle has come to expect and deserves,” says Josh Hillinger, On-Site Experience Manager and Project Manager for the Biergärten.

Openness, sharing, beer and schnitzel. Sounds like a perfect combination.

We’ll see you at the roundhouse.
