Drivers should prepare for a messy commute across the GTA tonight

Those driving home today should plan accordingly, as Toronto is going to be hit with periods of snow during the evening commute.

According to Environment Canada, periods of light snow will begin to fall around 3 pm and it won’t ease off until 3 am on Thursday morning.

This will be mixed with below freezing temperatures, which can result in snow-covered and slippery roads.

This snowfall could have a major impact on the evening commute as well as the drive Thursday morning.

Motorists should plan for extra time to reach their destination.

But don’t worry, the snow will short lived and it will be replaced with a mix of sun and clouds on Thursday.
