Mississauga Shoppers Drug Mart employee tests positive for COVID-19

Several Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Toronto and the GTA have reported COVID-19 cases among their staff on Tuesday.

In the November 24 update, five separate Shoppers Drug Mart locations reported cases.

An employee at the Shoppers Drug Mart, 500 King Street West, tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19 and had last worked on November 17.

In Brampton, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart, 980 Central Park Drive, tested positive on a presumptive coronavirus test and had last worked on November 20.

Another employee, this time in Stouffville, 12277 10th Line, tested positive on a presumptive test and had last worked on November 16.

West of Toronto, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart, 720 Bristol Road West in Mississauga, tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19 and had last worked on November 20.

In Woodbridge, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart, 4000 Highway 7, tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They had last worked on November 18.

Over the past weekend, several Shoppers Drug Mart locations across Toronto and the GTA reported employee cases.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws regularly updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
