Vaughan Shoppers Drug Mart employee tests positive for COVID-19

More Shoppers Drug Mart locations across Toronto and the GTA have reported employees testing positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

In the GTA, a Shoppers Drug Mart location at 6975 Meadowvale Town Centre in Mississauga reported an employee testing positive for COVID-19. They had last worked on November 23.

Another Shoppers Drug Mart, this time at 49 Mountainash Road in Brampton, reported a positive case of COVID-19. The employee had last worked on November 30.

A Shoppers Drug Mart located at 5602 Tenth Line West in Mississauga reported an employee testing positive for the virus. They had last worked on November 25.

In Vaughan, a Shoppers Drug Mart located at 9306 Bathurst Street reported an employee testing positive for the virus. They had last worked on November 29.

Another Vaughan location also reported a positive case among one of their staff members. The employee, from the Shoppers Drug Mart location at 9200 Dufferin Street, had last worked on November 28.

In Toronto, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart located at 755 Danforth Avenue tested positive for COVID-19. They had last worked on November 30.

Since last week, a few Shoppers Drug Mart locations have reported more cases in the GTA.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws regularly updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
