More Toronto Shoppers Drug Mart employees tests positive for COVID-19

Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Toronto and the GTA have reported COVID-19 cases among their staff.

Two separate Shoppers Drug Mart locations reported cases in 24 hours.

On December 2, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart Royal Bank Plaza, 200 Bay Street, tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They had last worked on November 28.

In Scarborough, two employees at a Shoppers Drug Mart location, 265 Port Union Road, tested positive on a presumptive test. They had last worked on November 22.

Since last week, a few Shoppers Drug Mart locations have reported more cases in the GTA.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws regularly updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
