FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
The Royal Winter Fair has been bringing the country to the city since 1922 offering Torontonians an alternative to a rural road trip each fall.
The showcase of Ontario agriculture is an excellent shopping destination. Whether getting a head-start on holiday gifting, outfitting yourself for winter, or just in lieu of your weekly grocery shopping.
Here’s just a handful of highlights on sale now until Sunday, November 13 at the Royal Winter Fair.
Artisan Foods
Butter tarts and fudge, cheese and salamis, and so much more. The Royal Winter Fair is the ultimate place for locavores to do their grocery shopping.
Winter Wear
Winter is coming. So where better to outfit yourself with wool stocks, Alpaca mittens, knit scarves, and farmer-approved boots and gloves?
Holiday Decor
Among the many exhibitors at the fair, you’ll find plenty hawking unique ornaments to adorn your tree and centrepieces for your festive table.
Local Eats
Peameal bacon sandwiches, lamb pies, rostis, pierogi, and poutine are among the iconic staples sold in the food court at the Royal Winter Fair.
Natural Personal Care Products
Essential oils, soaps, hand creams and more can be found at exhibitor booths throughout the fair.
Pantry Items
Every sort of pickle and preserve imaginable is available at the fair. From the various vendors, expect to find jams, chutneys, hot sauces and more for sale (and often sampling).
Country Chic Apparel
Okay, so these T-shirts haven’t been cool since Santino Rice rocked them in season 2 of Project Runway. I still buy one every year at the fair – it’s a tradition now. On the hunt for equestrian apparel, leather goods and other unique, quality pieces not found at the mall? This is the place.
Sweet Treats
Sweet tooths in attendance at the fair can look forward to cheesecake slices on a stick, hot apple dumplings a la mode, candied nuts, baked goods and more.
