Raptors ticket prices currently higher than ever before for an NBA Finals

Tickets to see the Raptors and Warriors series are not only the most expensive Toronto has ever seen for NBA basketball, they’re the most expensive ever tracked in Finals history for any city.

Ticket reseller TicketIQ says NBA Finals tickets have reached an all-time high, dwarfing previous secondary market prices since they began tracking them in 2011.

One person reportedly paid $76,000 CAD for a pair of courtside seats in Toronto, while the cheapest seat on the secondary market is currently above $1,000 CAD for Game 1.

Game 7 tickets in Toronto are currently at “Super Bowl-level prices” says TicketIQ, with the cheapest seat currently listed for more than $2,000 CAD.

The below numbers are listed in US dollars, aggregated from 90% of the secondary market by TicketIQ. The cheapest ticket for Raptors home games in the NBA Finals are currently above all four of the Golden State Warriors’ recent appearances – including 2016 when the series went to Game 7 against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The average ticket price, as you can imagine, is also out of control on the secondary market. The current average is $4,214 CAD for games at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto — the highest ever. Golden State Warriors home games are also currently more expensive than any of their previous four Finals appearances.
