A pair of Toronto Raptors players traded their sneakers for ballet shoes on Thursday.
Kyle Lowry and Matt Thomas guest starred in the National Ballet of Canada’s annual production of The Nutcracker. The celebrity walk-on role is a long-held tradition with Nutcrackers all over the world — with Maple Leafs stars Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner performing in Toronto last year.

Like Matthews and Marner the year prior, Lowry and Thomas weren’t afraid to step out of their comfort zone, enthusiastically performing in outrageous costumes to the delight of the crowd.
Both players were dressed as colourfully-costumed Russian Petrouchka dolls who shoot a cannon into the audience to begin the battle scene in Act I.
