He who laughs last, laughs longest.

The Toronto Raptors certainly won a laugher on Tuesday, setting a new franchise playoff record for largest margin of victory in their 125-89 Game 5 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

What a difference a few days makes, as just five days earlier it was the 76ers who dominated, taking a 2-1 series lead in a Game 3 blowout win.

Sixers centre Joel Embiid was outstanding that night, scoring 33 points in a dominant 116-95 win for his team in Philadelphia. He savoured every minute of it too, whooping it up for the Philly crowd with a few showboating moves – including his patented airplane celebration.

So when Embiid subbed out of the game for the final time with over nine minutes left in the fourth quarter, you bet Raptors fans let him hear about it.

It’s known as Scotiabank Arena nowadays, but for one moment, the Raptors’ home court was the Air Canada Centre once again:
