The Toronto Police are reporting that they have made an arrest in an assault with a weapon investigation.
The arrest comes in the wake of a June 6 incident when a cyclist allegedly threw a corrosive substance on a couple and their baby in the Bloor Street West and Christie Street area.

Police say that 45-year-old Toronto resident, Massimo Ionno was located and arrested as per the investigation on Sunday, June 9, at 3:45 pm.
According to law enforcement, Ionno has been charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, administering a noxious substance, as well as three counts of public mischief. He appeared in court at Old City Hall on Monday morning.
