
A man was rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries after being struck by as many as three vehicles in Scarborough Monday evening.
According to police, witnesses first told officers a male pedestrian was hit by one vehicle and then struck by a second shortly after in the area of Warden Avenue and McNicoll Avenue just after 7 pm.
Additional witnesses told officers the pedestrian may have been struck by a third vehicle.

Police say only the driver of the first vehicle remained at the scene.

Police said they are now looking for a “small, light-coloured vehicle with significant front end damage.”
Following the collision, Warden Avenue was closed in both directions from Bridletowne to McNicoll Avenue.
While the area was blocked off, a police cruiser at the scene was struck by another vehicle. One officer, who was in the cruiser at the time, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
