The Government of Ontario is reporting 31 more coronavirus cases in schools, bringing the total to 210 reported in the province.
In the September 24 update, 24 of the new cases are student-related, three are staff-related, and four are unidentified.
The numbers are reported daily at 10:30 am on the province’s school and childcare centre coronavirus-tracking website.
Of the total cases, 28 are reported in Toronto schools.
Ottawa region schools share the highest amount of confirmed cases reporting 44.
As for GTA schools 25 are reported from Brampton, 16 from Mississauga, and eight from Oakville.
Two schools remain closed due to the growing increase in cases reported.

As for licensed child care centres, there are now 107 total confirmed cases, as well as 28 centres and 124 homes closed.
Despite the Government of Ontario reporting 409 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday morning, cases continue to increase across the region.
In order to reduce the spread of COVID-19, Premier Doug Ford announced that social gatherings in Toronto, Peel, and Ottawa will be limited to 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors.
