Even the smallest of Toronto condos comes with a pretty hefty price tag these days. It might be enough to make you want to leave the city and go live on a private island in northern Ontario, which, as it turns out, is way less expensive.

The average GTA condo is now priced at a whopping $690,000, and with prices continuing to skyrocket, it’s unknown just how high they will go. But if you look a little further outside of the city, there are plenty of private island oasis’ right here in Ontario just waiting to be bought.

So if you’re ready to escape the city real estate game and head somewhere a bit more remote, these private islands in Ontario will all cost you less than your typical Toronto condo.
