Nordstrom launching online shopping platform in Canada Spring 2020

Online shopping is all fun and games until you have to pay duty taxes when your new coat or boots arrive at your door.

This is something Canadians have dealt with for years when ordering products online from the luxury department store Nordstrom. Although the retailer has six stores in Canada, it ships only from the US.

This, however, is set to change this spring with the launch of Nordstrom.ca, where Canadians can look forward to free standard shipping and returns, online order pickup in-store, and the one thing we’ve all been waiting for — duty-free purchases in Canadian currency.

“With the launch of Nordstrom.ca, we’re excited to expand our services to Canadian customers to offer more ways for them to shop with us,” Michelle Haggard, Senior Vice President/Regional Manager at Nordstrom Canada told Daily Hive.

At this time, the retailer doesn’t have a set date for the launch of the e-commerce site, other than during Spring 2020.

Until then, Canadians can stay in the know about Nordstrom.ca by signing up for email communication.

The countdown is on.
